“ My daughter had her wedding celebration at Hawthorne's,what a great place to celebrate.They made sure everything and everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend. ”
“ We had a great time here! It was fun to be out back, they have a unique outdoor space with event tents, playground, whiffle ball field, sand volleyball and more! The food was very reasonable and tasty! I enjoyed a half Rob dinner with baked potato and cole slaw side. It also came with soup or salad, all for about 18. Nice beers available - I got a Three Floyd's ipa. The kids enjoyed their food, played in the playground, and gobbled up the cookie ice cream dessert! ”
“ Go! If the weather is great and you like being outdoors, then this place is for you. Good drinks and tasty food. The outside has music, bags, adult beer pong, volleyball...so cool. Our group drinks and the appetizer sampler, curds, and Caesar salad...all were very good. The inside is smaller and darker....just meh. Go outside and have some fun! ”

“ Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time! ”
“ Found this great neighborhood restaurant while out traveling. Menu was full of great options but went with Thursday night special which was a rake and half of ribs and pile of fries. Highly recommend the ribs! Great service and cold beer. This is worth a visit. ”
“ I have only heard good things about this restaurant/bar from the ribs to the grouper sandwich to a comment about bringing back the pork chop. I tried the Blackened wild-caught Salmon Salad and it was perfect. I was here on a perfect Sunday summer afternoon and the Live band playing in the "backyard" was perfect for drinks and an outdoor meal at the bar, I really enjoyed it, however, the seats at the outdoor bar are uncomfortable even with the cushion, they lean back at an angle and they are difficult to get into and to scoot up closer to the bar. The outdoor space with a fireplace and tents is big enough to hold 3 different parties such as a birthday party, a graduation party or even a movie casting party, as was the case on this visit. On my next visit I would like to try the grouper or ribs. ”
